Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP)

With the help of an RESP you, as a parent, friend or family member, can start putting money aside for a child's education. Your contributions can grow quickly when you use this special savings account, as the Government of Canada offers the Canada Education Savings Grant and the Canada Learning Bond exclusive to RESP. We help our clients determine the RESP investments that are right for them depending on the client's personal needs and objectives.

Tax Free Savings Account or TFSA

The Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA) program began in 2009. It is a way for individuals who are 18 and older and who have a valid social insurance number (SIN) to set money aside tax-free throughout their lifetime. Contributions to a TFSA are not deductible for income tax purposes. Any amount contributed as well as any income earned in the account (for example, investment income and capital gains) is generally tax-free, even when it is withdrawn. Administrative or other fees in relation to TFSA and any interest or money borrowed to contribute to a TFSA are not tax deductible.

SAVING ENOUGH FOR RETIREMENT

Contributing to an RRSP saves individuals money today through tax savings and can provide you with a larger investment portfolio at retirement. The optimal way for you to build retirement savings is through regular contributions. An RRSP is most effective when contributions are maximized each year.

INVESTMENT SAVINGS ACCOUNTS

Just because you need a secure place to invest your cash, it doesn't mean you should accept a low rate of return. The Investment Savings Accounts we offer provides three key benefits you look for in a low-risk investment:

Security

Unlike investments that can decrease in value, Investment Savings Accounts provide the security of a deposit account.

Convenience

With this account, there are no maturity dates to worry about, your money is never locked-in and transactions settle the following business day.

Growth

The account features a premium interest rate that applies to every dollar in your account, which means your cash can work harder than ever.
